Processing a Submitted Resource

From the Summary tab of a Project management page, click Edit on the page footer and then navigate to the Resources and Surveys tab.  In the Resources grid, ensure the ‘Submitted’ toggle is selected.  Click any resource in the grid and then click Process in the top right of the grid.  In the window that appears, complete three steps to process the resource.

Spatial Search: Use the default search radius or input your own to perform a buffered search at the specified distance from the boundary of the Submitted Resource. This search is intended to identify potential duplicate resources that may have been mis-mapped. If any resources are identified in the search the results will be displayed in a grid below the map; these constitute potential candidates for a duplicate resource. If a candidate is identified, it can be selected, and the user can go straight to Create or Reconcile. If a candidate is not identified the user should continue through Keyword Search.

Keyword Search: Input a search term in the form of a Resource Name or Address. This search is intended to identify unmapped resources or other possible candidates based upon non-spatial criteria. If any resources are identified in the search the results will be displayed in a grid; these constitute potential candidates for a duplicate resource. If a candidate is identified, it can be selected, and the user can go to Create or Reconcile. If a candidate is not identified the user should proceed to Create or Reconcile.

Create or Reconcile: If a candidate has not been identified, the user selects ‘Create Resource’. A resource will automatically be created from the Submitted Resource and the Submitted Resource will no longer be able to be processed. If a candidate has been identified, the user can determine if they wish to Reconcile immediately, or Reconcile later. If reconciling immediately they will be taken to the Reconciliation screen. If reconciling later, the Submitted Resource will be flagged as ‘Processed’ and the user will return to process the Submitted Resource at a later time to complete reconciliation.
